Tashiyangtsi is situated on a small river valley. It is a small town but with fast growing population. The valley is popular for manufacture of bowls and containers made of turned wood, the specialty of the region.

Chorten Kora

It is a Nepalese style Chorten and the model was brought from the Boudhanath  Chorten in Nepal. The chorten is believed to have been founded by the 13th Je Khenpo, Younten Thai, in 1782. The chorten was restored during the reign of the second king Jigme Wangchuck.
